Collapse ▲The DD60s predicted for the 5 days following planting at Rocky Mount are included in the table below. It looks like we have a decent planting window here at the end of April. April 23 is considered marginal and due to the low night time temperature predicted I would suggest waiting until at least the 25th or preferably the 26th. The night time temperature predicted for the 25th is still a little chilly for me to feel comfortable planting “whole hog” that day. It looks like we have good conditions from then until the 29th with a cool spell coming in on the 30th. I will give an update on planting conditions every few days here at the extension cotton portal. We will keep a close eye on the cooler weather predicted to come in around the first of May.
