Collapse ▲The 2025 meeting season is upon us. We currently have several cotton production meetings slated across the state from February 11th through February 20th, 2025. These meetings will include the latest applied research and Extension recommendations regarding cotton agronomics, variety selection, seed quality, insect management, and weed management. The dates and times for these production meetings can be found at the NC State University Cotton Portal website under “Events” along the top of the main page. It is important that growers reach out to their local county agents for meeting details and registration. Additionally, growers should contact their local county agents for details regarding the Auxin trainings, which will be held independently from cotton meetings.
Additionally, the 35th NC Commodity Conference is this week, January 8-10th, in Durham. This conference has been popular over the years but has recently undergone some major changes that will be attractive for growers of several crops across NC. The new program will provide some exciting new and novel material that will be different from our regular county meeting programming. Growers are welcome and encouraged to attend. Onsite registration is available. Details can be found at this page: NC Commodity Conference
